Immersion Day 8B

Immersion Day Reflections
It’s the warm sun that shines down on us. It’s the creek that roars past us. The water making the hills beside us seem so much more still. It’s like an unmade world containing beautiful, majestic, marvelous surroundings. It’s the willows that sway the alder bushes that rustle and the clouds that roll through the valley. Nobody is saying a word. We are all different in are own ways but with our one common love for Tumalo Creek.

Popcorn poem by: Marina, Tlell, Kieryian, Everett, Eden, and Kathy

Opening Circle
The day starts out with a circle to see if every one is there. We read a passage out of a mosaic. Then we get into groups.

Map Activity
The map activity was when we got a map and found where in Tumalo we were. When we were done we went around and looked at other group’s maps to see how they got their answer.

Exploration Activity
The Exploration Activity is where you white down your notice and wonder. You start off by going to a spot where you are in silence and in peace, this is where you are not near anybody and can’t see anyone. Then you write down the notice and wonder.

Solitude & Reflections
This is a time when we get to have our own time to sit and relax and focus on our surroundings. We focused on sensory imagery.

Closing Circle
The closing circle is to close up the day and to check to see if every one is there. We share what we wrote in Solitude & Reflections and we check the study site for any extra things we left behind. When we are done we load up the gear on the bus and go back to REALMS.
